Rani Sharone is a Los Angeles-based composer and multi instrumentalist who's musical journey is as unconventional as his music.
In the summer of 2010 just days after his experimental rock band Stolen Babies performed on the main stage at Mera Luna, a very prominent Gothic music festival in Germany, he got on a plane to beautiful Sundance, Utah to participate as a fellow in the Sundance Film Composers Lab, an experience and incredible opportunity that led to many relationships writing for T.V. and Film with credits including: Dash Shaw's "My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea" (Susan Sarandon, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Rudolf, Lena Dunham), "Ray Donovan" (Season 4), "American Ultra" (Kristen Stewart/Jesse Eisenberg), and "Rock the Kasbah" (Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Kate Hudson).
For years, Rani has had one foot firmly planted in the rock world as a recording artist and touring musician and another in the realm of film, electronic and contemporary classical music which caught the ear of world renowned concert violinist Hilary Hahn who performed "Tick," a piece Rani wrote especially for her, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2013.
Rani is currently working on new Stolen Babies music and on his Dark Wave/Goth Industrial solo project, THRILLSVILLE, around his scoring schedule.
